Ag drain and subsoil drainage installation in Newcastle
Some water never pools on the surface. It moves through the soil, sits against footings, pushes on retaining walls and keeps lawns soggy for days. An ag drain gives that water a path out, into your stormwater system.

The short answer
An ag drain, or subsoil drain, is a slotted pipe wrapped in filter sock and laid in a gravel-filled trench. Groundwater seeps into the gravel, enters the pipe through the slots and runs downhill to a stormwater pit or line. It suits wet ground behind retaining walls, along house footings on the uphill side and under soggy lawns. It must discharge to stormwater, never the sewer.
